Day 6 Maynooth – Dublin c27km. Deplorable Accident on the Royal Canal

One of the more poignant spots along the National Famine Way is at Clonsilla bridge, where sixteen people lost their lives at the onset of the Famine when the Dublin to Longford passenger boat capsized on 25 November, 1845.
